Trivial Pursuit POP Culture better than reviews

What a great game. We played until 3am, and just had a ball. There were so many film clips, and hilarious commercials, and sports clips and puzzles. Just a great great game.

We had a problem when we tried to use the game on the cheap $89 DVD player we got at WalMart. The questions started to repeat. But when we played it on our Sony DVD player it was a blast. No problems at all. The company says that some of the lower-end DVD players may have some problems...but I can tell you for sure that it works on a better player. So the reviews here are either from people with really cheap DVD players...or from the makers of competitive games...because they sure aren't accurate.

The art and the music and the way the questions are presented are really first rate. Very clever puzzles.

Trivial Pursuit DVD Pop Culture is way better than Scene It (we have both). It has a really varied collection of videos and still pictures. By comparison Scene It is sort of dull. Nice movie clips....but that's about it.

Trivial Pursuit DVD is by far the best game we have played in a long time. A thoroughly unique blast! GREAT GAME.

    great fun

I got this game for christmas and we played it that night with a large group of people in 2 teams. We had a blast my kids could answer questions and my grandma could, so it was great in a large group.
The reviews I read here are right. The dvd pie question are quite easy in the way that they ask some questions, some are a challenge though. But, it was fun that everyone could yell things out. However, there are some dvd question that ask a date and everyone is yelling 1984, 1985, until the time is up. That isn't a challenge it is just a guess.
We have played it several time in groups. A few dvd questions pop up that we already had so we just had the team do another question.
The questions at the end seemed really hard to us we couldn't get the answers( with any group we played )quickly so the game lasted forever because you have to keep moving out and landing exactly in the middle. But after a while we just let the people jump from pie to pie and the other one stay in the center so we could end the game quicker. It takes a good hour and half to play. But, even though there are things we don't like, we really do love this game. We have had fun and laughs every time we played! Hope you have fun
Great game, but could use some improvements

This game is by far the best trivia game I have played -- and I really enjoy trivia games. I've even gotten 2 others who normally hate this type of game to play and have a good time. The question are, as the title implies, all drawn from pop culture. So people who know nothing about the Great Wall of China and all the other boring stuff normally covered will be able to participate in this game. I enjoy the change of seeing the "pie" questions on the dvd. The only drawback, as others have pointed out, is the severely limited number of questions. So far, I've only played 1 1/2 games and I've already had duplicate dvd questions and had to open the extra packs of cards because we had gone through the others. The dvd is also lacking from a technological standpoint. The graphics are very basic, and it looks like copyright expenses were nearly eliminated (i.e. very few images, soundclips, or video clips were used). If they came out with an add-on containing extra cards and a new dvd, this game would be nearly perfect!
    Fun game!!

I read another person's review and he called the trivia pretentious and stupid. Well there is a reason the title of this game is TRIVIAL pursuit! Its a celebration for all of us people who know silly, useless trivia about pop culture. I have a really fun time playing this game. I have not had as big of a problem with the DVD as others but it does freeze on occasion. This is a perfect game for someone like me who knows a lot of stuff about movies, actors, TV, games/sports, and general pop culture. Be proud to know trivial answers to trivial questions! I have played a lot of trivial pursuit games before and seeing as I am more of a pop culture person than a newsy/history person, this is the only trivial pursuit game I have ever been able to win. Fun fun fun!
This game is great fun !!!!!!!

This game is a lot of fun. Some friends brought it over last night and we played 3 times in a row. The games go a lot quicker and the dvd part is really cool, you get clues to the answer and if the other people playing don't have the color pie they have a chance to guess for the pie as well.
I liked it so much I am online buying it for myself.
